We’re celebrating history— Black History!

Join us on February 23rd as we travel back in time and uncover heart-wrenching letters of the past!

Based off the compelling book To Address You as My Friend, edited by Jonathan W. White, this historical collection of letters from African Americans to President Abraham Lincoln are coming to life on our stage.

From 3pm-5pm, experience a three-course luncheon like no other! Award-winning author, Michael Twitty, actor Elijah Pringle, and journalist and professor, Ernest Owens, will be taking center stage to perform dramatic reading of excerpts from various letters written to Lincoln expressing the “dilemmas, doubts, and dreams of both recently enslaved and free people in the throes of dramatic change. These letters, most of which have never been published, offer unflinching, intimate, and often heart-wrenching portraits of Black soldiers’ and civilians’ experiences in wartime.”

Tickets are $65 and inclusive of tax and grat!
